1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton is seen looking dramatically different after her 500lb weight loss ahead of the new season of the hit reality series.
A teaser for the upcoming run of episodes has seen Tammy proudly showing off her engagement ring, after she said yes to girlfriend Andrea Dalton last year. The new season of the show will now give fans a glimpse of "all the details" of the couple's engagement, according to TLC.
Tammy, 40, is now completely unrecognizable to the version of her fans got to know when the show first debuted on screens back in 2020. Season nine will also see Tammy work to repair her strained relationship with her sister, Amy Slaton.

A trailer for the show saw Amy claim, “Me and Tammy are taking things slow. We’re still rebuilding trust,” as Tammy added, “It’s going to take time to get that bond back.” Amy's journey with weight loss will also continue in season nine as she pursues skin removal surgery.
In the trailer Amy is also seen learning to drive, as well as exploring her passion for songwriting by using AI to transform her poetry into songs. Amy also makes a stand with her family over one of her new ventures, telling them, “When I get rich and famous, don’t come crying to me. Do not darken my doorstep.”

Tammy confirmed her engagement to Andrea in June 2025 when she appeared on the Creative Chaos podcast. When speaking about her relationship, which she made public just two months earlier, Tammy referred to Andrea as her "fiancée."
"My and my fiancée we kind of just chill at home," Tammy began, causing host Hunter Ezell to stop her in her tracks. "Hold on, you said fiancée?" he questioned. Tammy then surprised Hunter as she held up her hand and showed off her sparkling silver engagement ring.
Tammy also shared some more information about her relationship, revealing that while she only went public with Andrea in April, they have been dating for "almost three years." Tammy previously revealed the relationship on the TLC show. "There's something I haven't told my family. Amy's not the only one that's been seeing somebody new."
She then added, "So have I...I have been seeing someone for the past couple months and it's going pretty well. The person I'm dating is a woman. So I haven't told my family because my family's gonna have something to say about it."

She also reflected on her love life following the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham. Tammy married Caleb in November 2022 after the pair met at a rehabilitation facility. Her engagement announcement came three years after Tammy's husband died.
Caleb sadly died in July 2023 from "natural causes" due to "complications of super morbid obesity," according to an autopsy report. Speaking about his death on the show, Tammy admitted, "A few years ago I came out as pansexual but after Caleb passing, I just don't want to be with men anymore."
