Warning: This post contains spoilers for Bridgerton season 4 part 2.

Bridgerton season 4, part 2 concluded on Feb. 26 on Netflix

The second batch of episodes wrapped up the blossoming love story between Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha)

Here's everything to know about Benedict and Sophie — as well as what's happening with the rest of the ton

Benedict Bridgerton's love story has come to an end.

Season 4 of the Netflix regency series, which focused on the bohemian second son in the Bridgerton family, concluded on Feb. 26. Benedict (Luke Thompson), who was loathing to settle down, finally found the one in Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), a maid who took Benedict by surprise.

Part 2 picked up after a major cliffhanger: Benedict asked Sophie to be his mistress after a steamy moment on the staircase. Even though Sophie shut down his request, they didn't stay apart for long.

After a night of passion with Benedict, Sophie was left worried she may be pregnant with the illegitimate baby of the Earl of Penwood.

Benedict continued to woo her with promises of the picture-perfect life they could have — living together at "My Cottage" in bliss away from the drama of the ton — but Sophie soon came to terms with the impossibility of their situation.

Just as she was leaving her job at Bridgerton House for another post, her stepmother, Lady Araminta (Katie Leung), had her arrested.

Here's everything to know about how Benedict and Sophie's story wrapped up in season 4 — and how the rest of the ton fared.

Did Sophie and Benedict get married?

In part 2, Sophie was far from walking down the aisle. Instead, she was in a jail cell after Lady Araminta accused her of stealing her shoe clips. (In fact, Araminta's daughter gave them to Sophie when was was leaving their house after Araminta fired Sophie as their maid.)

With the help of Benedict's mom, Violet (Ruth Gemmell), Sophie was freed, but behind the scenes, Araminta threatened to tell Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) about the scandal and Sophie's involvement with Benedict.

With the help of Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), Sophie got into Penwood House and found her father's will. It stipulated that Araminta would get additional money from his estate for housing Sophie after his death, and that Sophie also had a dowry of her own.

The revelation led Sophie, Benedict and Violet to take matters into their own hands and confront Araminta at the Queen's Ball, where they threatened to expose her manipulation of her late husband's will. Sophie and Benedict were then presented to the Queen, and Sophie was introduced as the late Earl of Penwood's cousin's daughter, Sophie Gun.

With the Queen's approval secured, Benedict proposed to Sophie in front of the whole ton — and then they wed in a small ceremony at My Cottage that took place in a post-credits scene.

Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate (Simone Ashley) were in attendance for the important day, with Anthony serving as Benedict's best man. The rest of the family was there too, inclduing Eloise, Hyacinth (Florence Hunt), Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), Colin (Luke Newton) Francesca (Hannah Dodd), Violet, Gregory (Will Tilston) and Posy. Several of Sophie's loved ones were there as well: Alfie (David Moorst) walked her down the aisle, Hazel (Gracie McGonigal) was her maid of honor and Footman John (Oli Higginson), Irma (Fiona Marr), Mrs. Wilson (Geraldine Alexander) and Celia (Sophie Lamont) were also there to support her.

Did Anthony and Kate return?

In Part 2, the Viscount (Jonathan Bailey) and Viscountess (Simone Ashley) return to London after traveling to India in season 3 where they welcomed their son, Edmund.

Anthony was summoned to London by Violet to talk some sense into Benedict after she learned of his ongoing romantic involvement with Sophie. While Anthony obeyed, it was much to his dismay to leave so soon after his son's birth. Kate and Edmund later joined him in London, and the whole family got to meet the baby.

Kate and Anthony were present again at Sophie and Benedict's wedding, where Anthony played a major role as Benedict's best man.

Who died?

Francesca is left widowed in part 2 after her husband, John Stirling (Victor Alli), dies in his sleep. The loss shattered everyone in its wake, including John's cousin Michaela (Masala Baduzi).

Benedict spoke in tribute to John at his funeral, which was attended by the whole family, as well as Lady Agatha Danbury (Adjoa Andoh). Francesca was even more stoic than usual in the wake of the loss. She clung to the hope that she might be pregnant, but after an invasive exam, she learned she was not.

Later, in a particularly emotional scene, Francesca broke down in hysterics to her mom over her heartbreak that she wasn't able to give John a child and continue his family lineage before his death.

Michaela ultimately helped her to celebrate John, rather than mourn him, when they hosted a celebration of life in his honor. Michaela said that's what her cousin would have preferred over a somber funeral. There, Francesca finally addressed the room and reflected on her bond with John. Then, Michaela led the whole group in a Scottish Highland dance that she and John had loved.

Did Violet marry Lord Marcus?

At the Queen's Ball, after Benedict proposed to Sophie, Lord Marcus (Daniel Francis) was excited that he and Violet could finally make their happy news public, too. But Violet seemed keen to let the focus stay on Benedict, which he saw as a sign of her hesitance about the marriage overall.

She explained that she'd been hesitant to tell her kids about Marcus' proposal because Francesca was grieving, and Benedict was struggling, but that she'd also come to another realization: she wants to get to know herself, in this new era of life, on her own terms.

Violet then asked if they could continue seeing each other romantically, but maintain their independence, but Marcus stood his ground. He said that he wanted a life with Violet, but he wasn't willing to compromise to that extent, and walked off, seemingly ending their courtship for good.

What happened to Araminta, Rosamund and Posy?

After Sophie exposed Araminta for embezzling her dowry to double Rosamund's, she revealed her own heartbreak over her late husband's death and how she was left to raise her daughters on her own. She was also tasked with caring for Sophie's wellbeing, too.

Though Araminta tried to force Sophie and the Bridgertons' hand over Sophie impersonating nobility at the masquerade ball, her threat fell flat when Violet issued a threat of her own, and instead suggested that they "all agree to a more mutually beneficial recounting of events."

It's not exactly clear whether Araminta and her daughters left the ton after the Queen's Ball or not, but before they explained their story to the Queen, Benedict told Araminta to retreat to her country estate for the rest of the season with Rosamund and Posy.

Posy, though, was present for Sophie and Benedict's wedding, and Lord Barnaby (Zheng Xi Yong) was by her side.

Did Lady Danbury leave London?

Queen Charlotte was initially very hesitant when Agatha introduced the idea of her leaving the ton to travel — presumably to her home country of Africa. In part 1, the Queen told her longtime friend she was not allowed to leave, but in part 2, she gave Agatha permission to go in an emotional, nearly wordless scene.

In the finale, they sat together at the Queen's Ball, watching the dances after the Queen gave Sophie and Benedict her blessing. As they laughed about the strange circumstances of it all, the Queen told Agatha, "We have such fun together."

"Yes, we do," Agatha agreed, and they both teared up. "I will miss you," the Queen said through tears.

The final scene of Agatha in the episode showed her covering the furniture and paintings in her home with sheets, signaling her forthcoming departure from London.

Is there a new Lady Whistledown?

Penelope released her final pamphlet as Lady Whistledown and officially retired the gossip columnist at Cressida's ball — where the Queen gave her permission to write something new.

But the final episode introduced a new Lady Whistledown.

"Dearest Gentle Reader, are you perhaps feeling a little shock? You thought I was gone for good, but far too much transpires for this author to remain silent," Julie Andrews' signature voiceover said as the episode ended. "And so we are reunited. It is assuredly a reunion rooted in care and love."

Colin (Luke Newton) was the one to tell his wife about the imposter, as he walked in on her writing at her desk and said, "I thought you were done with Whistledown."

"I am," she said. "I am working on my novel."

"Then who in the devil wrote this?" he asked as he put the new Lady Whistledown issue down in front of her.

Andrews' voice then changed, introducing a different voiceover as a new author entered the picture. "For now, my new identity shall remain a secret," the voice said. "Dear reader, we are going to have so much fun."

Part 2 of Bridgerton season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
