Karoline Leavitt is set to leave her role as the White House press secretary at the end of August. But before she leaves the side of President Donald Trump, she is making the most of her final days, celebrating with work-themed baked treats.
As she is expected to step down at the end of August, Katie Miller hosted a farewell party for her. But this may not be the last time she appears in Trumpâs political orbit.
Karoline Leavitt Receives a Special Farewell from White House Colleagues
On Aug. 23, Karoline Leavitt posted on her Instagram Stories, showing photos and videos from the farewell celebration that Katie Miller organized for her. The highlight of the celebration was a lectern-shaped cake. The in-video caption of the cake read, â@katiemiller knows how to throw a party and @fluffythoughtscakes made the coolest cake ever!!!â

She shared another story featuring two custom-made cookies, one resembling the lectern, which has been a fixture of her press briefings and exchanges with reporters. The other was a more straightforward cookie poking fun at her work, with the words âNo more questionsâ written in blue icing.
The phrase had become a familiar part of her briefings, as she would use the same or a similar phrase to conclude press briefings with journalists. The caption read, âAnd these cookies! Just perfection,â tagging both Leslie Pizzaro and Katie Miller. Leavitt is Donald Trumpâs second-longest-serving press secretary to date and the youngest press secretary in White House history.
Earlier this month, the president announced on Truth Social that Leavitt will be stepping down from her position as the White House press secretary. He explained that her decision was driven by a desire to spend more time with her two young children and family, which he âtotally understand and respect!â He called her one of his top outside advisers and an âinfluential voiceâ in the Republican Party as they defied history.
Likewise, she explained that her âbittersweet decisionâ stemmed from the demands of the job, which required her to devote her time, energy, and attention. Leavitt felt that as a mother of two young children, she couldnât make the commitment and chose to embark on her lifeâs new chapter.

Soon after announcing her departure, she shared an Instagram Story featuring her son, writing a heartfelt message about her resignation.
Donald Trump Says Heâll âMissâ Karoline Leavitt
With Karoline Leavittâs tenure coming to an end in August 2026, President Trump has already spoken about her departure. During a press conference (via WJAR), he said, âBy the way, are we going to miss Karoline? Iâm going to miss her,â before he and Leavitt boarded Air Force One for a trip to South Carolina.
As of now, he has not named her replacement, although Natalie Harp, Trumpâs close aide, was reportedly being considered as a potential replacement. In the same press conference, he noted, âIâve never had so many job applications in my life. Sheâs made that job very glamorous.â
In a separate interview with Fox 5, she told the reporters that she does not plan to leave Trumpâs administration after August, and plans to continue working for MAGA Inc., a Trump-aligned super PAC. But she did not disclose her title or the responsibilities that she will be undertaking.
The move would return her to a political operation where she previously served as a spokesperson for MAGA Inc. before joining the 80-year-old âs presidential campaign before becoming the White House press secretary. âYou guys will still see me all the time,â Leavitt remarked, signaling her intention of staying active in Trumpâs political orbit as the GOP prepares for the midterm elections.
