Kid Cudi Celebrates First Wedding Anniversary with Wife Lola Abecassis Sartore: 'A Lifetime to Go'

The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday with heartfelt Instagram tributes alongside wedding photos and videos

The rapper and the fashion designer met in 2018 and they announced their engagement in 2024

Kid Cudi is celebrating one year of marriage.

The rapper, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, married fashion designer Lola Abecassis Sartore in the South of France last year. To commemorate their first wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 28, the couple posted heartfelt tributes to each other on Instagram.

"One year down, a lifetime to go. Happy Anniversary my baby," Cudi, 42, captioned a clip of the couple kissing after being pronounced husband and wife during their ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea as guests cheered and applauded.

He continued, "This last year has taught us so much, and we've grown together through it all. Every second of life with you is a blessing. So grateful to have you by my side. I love you so so much Lola Mescudi. My best friend, my partner, my ride or die. 🙏🏾❤️‍🔥😘😘😘 @lolaabecassis."

The remainder of the video, set to Cudi's song "Neverland," showed the couple taking photos with guests.

Sartore commented, "The beginning of our forever my baby ❤️‍🔥."

In her own post, set to "Pink & Blue" by Outkast, Sartore shared 15 wedding photos, including moments from the dance floor, an elegant dinner and the outdoor ceremony.

"One year later, and my heart is only more grateful," she wrote. "Being your wife is the greatest blessing of my life. Happy anniversary, my love. ❤️."

"Here's to many more years of magic my love 🙏🏾❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥😘😘😘 I love you endlessly. Your best friend, booboo 🥹," Cudi wrote in the comments section, to which Sartore replied, "MINE! ❤️‍🔥." Cudi commented back, "MINEEEE 😭❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Happy Anniversary my Queen!!"

The couple exchanged vows in the gardens at Cap Estel, near where Sartore grew up in Èze, per Vogue. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated during a cocktail hour by the pool, dinner on the lawn and an afterparty inside the villa, where the restaurant of the hotel was transformed into a "cozy" speakeasy decorated with red and pink velvets.

“We're on cloud nine in our little bubble of love. It's so overwhelming to receive so much love in such a short amount of time. You want this feeling to never end," Sartore told the magazine at the time. "It was really the most perfect, flawless, peaceful day, and we want to do it all over again. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.”

The couple first connected in 2018 at the late Virgil Abloh's first show for Louis Vuitton. Years later, the "Mr. Rager" singer proposed on Dec. 28, 2023, in Kyoto, per Vogue. The pair announced their engagement on Instagram in April 2024, with their separate social posts also serving as their relationship debut.

Cudi has a daughter, Vada, from a previous relationship.
