Maia Knight is getting candid about her social media presence.In a TikTok video posted Thursday, Feb. 26, the influencer opened up to her followers, telling them that she felt it was "finally time for me to be honest" with them about why she hadn't yet revealed the name of her son to them yet.Knight, who boasts a following of 7.6 million on TikTok and 2 million on Instagram, announced that she had given birth to her son with her now-husband, Jake, in July 2025. Knight is also mother to twin daughters Violet and Scout from a previous relationship.In the video, the momfluencer opened up about how she navigated social media while she was pregnant with her son, saying that at the time, she had "no idea how much I was really gonna wanna share about the baby.""I was kind of just, like, playing it by ear," she said. "Obviously, I ended up sharing the sex once I felt comfortable."
"To go back to why I haven't shared my son's name, just the fact that there are so many people out there that get pissed off that I haven't shared his name is, like, exactly the reason why I haven't shared his name," she said later in the video.

"And also, I have a pretty thick skin now, but his name is very, very unique, and I love his name. Jake loves his name. I know if I shared it, it would get a lot of judgement, which is fine, but like I said, I'm in my protecting my peace era, and I just don't wanna deal with it," she continued.However, getting deeper in another part of a video, Knight admitted that she was in what she called her "self-preservation era" when it comes to social media now."This whole social media thing was thrown at me really fast," said Knight, who first gained a significant following online when she began posting about her life as a single mom of twins nearly five years ago. At the time, fans came to knew Knight for the silly names that she would refer to Violet and Scout as online, which would always begin with the same letters as the girls' first names.

Knight went on to admit that for a few years, she was "feeling pretty rough" about her online content, calling social media a "beast."
"I'm so desensitized to it now," she added."But as, like, a very normal person, you'd literally have to be crazy to not care about thousands of people shitting on you all the time," she said. "Not much bothers me anymore."Knight also said that she's gotten good about "protecting [her] peace," and added that her followers only saw about 1% of her life.

"I am so happy in life right now. Like, literally living the dream," she added, and thanked her followers in the video for sticking with her as she transitioned her content to be less heavily kid focused.Knight has been open about her motherhood journey, first documenting herself raising her young twins, now 3, and later giving followers updates as she navigated new relationships. Since coming online, Knight married Jake, whom she shares her son with.Knight has also been open about some of the more personal facets of her life, sharing in an Instagram Reel on Feb. 25 that she had had a miscarriage.The video began with clips of Knight taking pregnancy tests before her trip to Iceland. However, the video then ends with a somber clip from inside her car, explaining that she is experiencing a miscarriage.

"I am currently having a miscarriage," Knight said in the video. "Those are words I wished I never had to f--king say, but here we are. I was six weeks and two days, I started bleeding, went to the ER, and that was two days ago."
"I need to go in and get my HCG tested, that's where we're at," Knight continued. "I'm just trying to stay busy and keep it out of my mind. But yeah, it's sad obviously. I wasn't going to come get labs because I know what's happening. I just went grocery shopping, and I was driving by the lab, and I'm by myself, so I just decided to stop."
The mother of three was met with an outpouring of support in the comments. "Sending you the biggest hug ❤️," one user wrote, as others shared their own miscarriage stories.
"I’m so sorry mama. There’s no words to help, but I do understand. I lost 3 babies. My 1st was a miscarriage at almost 13 weeks," another user wrote.
