Meryl Streep knows that walking in heels is a sport of its own.

The actress, 76, who is set to return as Miranda Priestly in the highly anticipated The Devil Wears Prada 2, out on Friday, May 1, surprised fans when she brought up Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 36, while promoting the film.

In a video shared by 20th Century Studios on YouTube and X on Saturday, April 25, Streep spoke out about the most difficult part of filming in Milan, Italy.

“The hardest thing about shooting in Milan was walking in stilettos on the cobblestones," she said. "I'd like to see Travis Kelce do that.”

While it is unclear whether Streep and Kelce, 36, know each other or whether she was referring to another part of the interview that was cut, it appeared that the Oscar winner may have thrown a friendly jab, as she is familiar with his fiancée, Taylor Swift, 36.

Swift appeared alongside Streep in the 2014 dystopian drama, The Giver.

In a previous interview with Access Hollywood, the “The Fate of Ophelia” singer was asked if starring in a film with Streep was a "holy grail experience," something to which she agreed.

"Yeah, I couldn't believe that it was happening to me," said Swift.

Many fans, however, believe that Streep's mention of the NFL star could have been an Easter egg, hinting that she and costar Anne Hathaway will appear on his podcast, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce.

"So are Anne and Meryl gonna be New Heights guests for the new movie promo or did Travis just catch a stray for no reason so are Anne and Meryl gonna be New Heights guests for the new movie promo or did Travis just catch a stray for no reason 😭@newheightshow @Brandon_Borders @jchat85 spill pls," one fan wrote.

While the New Heights podcast has featured actors as guests, most recently Charlize Theron, Streep shared earlier in April that she was "halfway done" with her press tour.

“We're only halfway done. I'll be on a gurney after it, but we're going to London next and then L.A. and then rehab or something,” the actress joked while appearing on Good Morning America.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 arrives in theaters on May 1.
