A Florida pastor, who wrote a book offering marriage advice to couples, is accused of having multiple wives.

Leslie Williams, 62, was arrested on April 22 at The Villages, a masterplan retirement community, on an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale, Ga., tied to a bigamy charge, per online records from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in Florida. He is being held without bond due to his status as an out-of-state fugitive, jail records show.

The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office told Fox News Digital that Florida marriage records were obtained and "confirmed that Leslie Williams was still lawfully married at the time of the subsequent marriage."

"Based on these records, a warrant was obtained for Leslie Williams for the charge of bigamy," the sheriff's office added, per the outlet.

In Georgia, a bigamy charge is punishable by up to one to 10 years in prison.

PEOPLE has reached out to both the Sumter County Sheriff's Office and the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office for more information.
