Peter Weber is addressing former *Bachelor** *producer Julie LaPlaca's upcoming memoir.

The former *Bachelor *star is speaking out ahead of LaPlaca's book, *The Love Producer*, being published on July 7, which is expected to detail their alleged relationship from 2019, when Weber's season was filmed.

As Weber's season aired in early 2020, rumors swirled that he was romantically linked to a producer after spending New Year's Eve together, which turned out to be LaPlaca.

For the uninitiated, Weber was introduced into the *Bachelor *universe as a contestant during Hannah Brown's *Bachelorette *season and was tapped to lead the next installment.

His season ended with him proposing to Hannah Ann Sluss, but their relationship ended off screen while the show still aired. The *After the Final Rose *special saw Weber and runner-up Madi Prewett attempt to reconnect, but the reality stars shared a statement days later that they were not together.

Weber, also known as "Pilot Pete" to fans, addressed the alleged relationship in the comments section of an Instagram video shared by fellow former *Bachelorette* alum Nick Viall's podcast *The Viall Files*. In the clip, Viall called out LaPlaca for "exploiting that experience" instead of acknowledging her actions in the upcoming memoir.

"I’ve moved on from this period of my life and I’m ultimately responsible for my choices," Weber began. "What I’ll say is this; I asked Julie on multiple occasions to please keep private, intimate details, private. This wasn’t about a tv show anymore."

"Curious though if she mentions in the book about my last one on one with Hannah Ann, and how in the middle of our dinner conversation during one on one producer interviews, Julie tells me 'you will look like the biggest idiot in the world to America if you give her your rose.'"

"I find it wrong to mess with a person’s headspace like that and then go on to write a book about them. The fact that Chris endorsed this makes me sick," Weber concluded his comment, referring to former *Bachelor *host Chris Harrison, who promoted LaPlaca's book and penned the foreword.

LaPlaca spoke to *** *in April about *The Love Producer, *noting that she was aware that Weber "wasn't happy" about the memoir. “I spent all my years getting people to be vulnerable and share their heart on the show,” she said at the time. “And I realized I had shielded mine.”

She said that she and Weber "instantly connected" and that he "felt like an immediate best friend." "My job is digging into his heart, getting him to be vulnerable — and I was doing the same. There were moments where I was like, 'Wow, I'm more open with Peter than I was with my boyfriend of five years.'"

"There's this interesting bond that people don't see, the intimacy that the lead producers have with the people they're with. ... It got complicated and lines became blurred.”

The former producer noted that she "suppressed" her truth for a while and "dealt with some shame and some fear around sharing it."

"Part of my journey was working through that and allowing myself to get to a place to be fully vulnerable — like I got so many cast members to do. Every woman should own her story and own her truth.”
